Maria Brown shares research on EIBI at NASP
This week, Maria Brown travelled to the 2020 Annual National Association of School Psychologists in Baltimore to present a poster on behalf of Emma Tedone, Lisa-Marie Giorgio, Ingrid Sladeczek, Katherine Moxness, Marc Lanovaz.
Their poster was entitled: Community-Based Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention Programs: The Impact on Language Abilities in Preschoolers with ASD
Early intervention is critical for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as poor speech and language skills can impede daily functioning. The aim of the study was to examine the efficacy of community-based early intensive behavioral intervention (EIBI) programs on language functioning scores in preschool-aged children with ASD. Further evidence for the importance of EIBI programs in fostering the speech and language competencies of children with ASD was shown.
